Beers and Weirs is the second episode of the Freaks and Geeks TV series. It was written by J. Elvis Weinstein and Judd Apatow and directed by Jake Kasdan. The episode first aired on October 2, 1999.
Summary[]
When Harold and Jean Weir travel out of town for the weekend, their daughter, Lindsay, hosts a keg party. The Geeks, Sam, Bill, and Neal, are worried that the party-goers will get too rowdy. As a result, they substitute a keg of non-alcoholic beer for the one the Freaks have on ice.
Plot[]
Mr. Weir and Mrs. Weir go on weekend Holidays.
Lindsay is invited to hang out with the Freaks, but says she has to stay at home, and look after her younger brother, because her parents are out of town. Daniel suggests throwing a party at Lindsay's house. She reluctantly agrees.
When Sam finds out about Lindsay's plans, he wants to prevent the house from being trashed. Together with Bill and Neal, they switch the keg with beer to alcohol-free beer.
