Chip Kelly is Kim Kelly's older brother. He is also the son of Cookie Kelly and the stepson of Mr. Kelly. He and some of his friends get drunk, and he did something that prompts the police to attack him with their nightsticks, resulting in Chip's severe head injuries. He seemingly just sleeps all day, unable to do much. Portrayed by Mike White, he only appears in the fourth episode, but his family members will talk about him on occasion.

Mike White also played the role of a writer for the series. He wrote three episodes: "Kim Kelly Is My Friend," "We've Got Spirit," and "The Little Things."
