Biography[]
In the first episode, Cindy politely meets Sam at school to discuss about homecoming. Cindy asks if Sam has anyone to take to the dance. Having a crush on Cindy due to her pretty looks and tone of voice, Sam states that he doesn't have anyone, and he anxiously asks if he can take Cindy to the dance with him. Cindy rejects the idea, since she already has someone to take, but she states that if there isn't anyone available, then she will go with Sam instead. Sam becomes happy, and Cindy leaves school's entrance.
At homecoming, Cindy seems to not have a partner. Sam offers Cindy to dance with him, if she's not busy. Cindy replies that she is free, and she allows Sam to take her hand to have fun together under the disco.
In "Tests and Breasts", Cindy goes to a fast food restaurant with Sam to chat with each other. Sam attempts to confess his crush on Cindy, but she interrupted him by saying that she has a crush on Todd, a jock on the school's basketball team, and she wonders if he likes and notices her or not. Sam becomes saddened and jealous of Todd stealing his love interest away from him.
At the end of the sixth episode, in the neighborhood, Cindy rides on a car with her cheerleading friends and jock friends, passing Sam and the other Geeks. They root for Sam for getting naked (unintentionally) at school, much to the disappointment of Alan White, who was mocking Sam from earlier about his little incident.
In "Girlfriends and Boyfriends", in biology class, Cindy is grouped with Bill as his partner by Mr. LaCovara to complete an assignment, dissatisfying Sam that he is stuck with Gordon Crisp, the most stinky and overweight student. Cindy and Bill both head out to her house to do their assignment together. There, while Bill is eating Cindy's food, Cindy asks if Bill wants lemonade. Bill agrees, as Cindy farts on her chair, which she blames for the noise, and she gets off of it to get lemonade. At first Bill was expected to sniff the chair, but he ends up sitting on it, feeling the warmth of Cindy's gas and smelling it, which he informs to his friends about.
In "We've Got Spirit", Cindy works with Vicki Appleby, the other cheerleaders, the Geeks, and the gym students to prepare for rooting their school's basketball team against another school. Since the previous mascot was injured from a fall and his arm was broken, Cindy and Vicki both ask for a volunteer as the replacement for the new mascot. Sam volunteers to impress Cindy, and Cindy and Vicki both approve of him.
Witnessing Cindy trying to sweet talk and hook up with Todd near the gym's water fountain, Sam becomes so distressed that he doesn't want to be the mascot anymore, and he wants Neal to take his place instead. On the contrary, Neal is much more interested in getting laughs than following orders from Vicki. Regardless, Neal puts on the mascot outfit, and he entertains the crowd by making a fool of himself and the cheerleaders, angering the cheerleaders who think it's Sam doing it, while Sam is off confronting Todd about Cindy. Maturely, Sam respects Todd, who is cool and respectful to him, and he stops pursuing her until later on in the series.
In "Smooching and Mooching", Cindy breaks up with Todd for an unknown reason, and she immediately admits to Bill that she has a crush on Sam. Cindy also informs Bill to persuade Sam to invite her to a party.
At a make-out party, Sam, Neal, and Bill all feel anxiety around many unfamiliar guests, even if people like Maureen Sampson are there. The guests all play spin the bottle game with each other to see who will kiss each other in a closet and how long will it lasts. Cindy ends up with Sam to spend time alone upstairs in a bedroom. Sam eventually falls in love with Cindy when they confess their true feelings with each other and he presents her a necklace. They both make-out passionately longer than any other people.
In the penultimate episode, Cindy and Sam both watch a movie together at a theatre. There, Cindy tries to make-out with Sam, who finds it uncomfortable that she is going too fast in their relationship and how she gives him a hicky by biting down on his neck hard. Not to mention Cindy demanding Sam to give her more gifts, as well as forcing him to wear different clothes to impress the popular crowd. Cindy reveals herself to be spoiled, shallow, mean, and egotistical. Having enough of Cindy's mistreatment towards him, Sam has the courage to break up with Cindy, and he demands his necklace back from her. Enraged, Cindy pulls out Sam's necklace from her school locker to throw at him in front of Sam's friends behind him, destroying their superficial, romantic relationship in a sour note.
