Lydia Schweiber is Neal's mother. She is married to Dr. Schweiber. They have another son, Barry, who is the older brother of Neal, in his second year of college in Wisconsin. She is portrayed by Amy Aquino.
She is aware of her husband's numerous extramarital affairs, and they are both planning to divorce in the future, once Neal becomes a legal adult.
